Endra raises $50M Series A led by Andreessen Horowitz to reinvent how the world designs buildings

STOCKHOLM, June 2, 2026 – Endra, the AI platform for mechanical, electrical and plumbing (MEP) engineering, raised a $50 million Series A round led by Andreessen Horowitz. Notion Capital and Norrsken VC, both existing investors in Endra, participated in the round, bringing Endra’s total funding to $75 million since its founding two years ago. Endra will use the funding to grow its teams in Stockholm, New York and San Francisco.

MEP engineering covers the systems that power every building, yet it still runs on outdated tools and manual processes. Engineers spend months modeling every pipe, wire and fixture from scratch, even on nearly identical projects, with little ability to test alternatives. Meanwhile, the industry faces a talent shortage and rising complexity driven by data centers, new regulations and net-zero mandates.

Endra is replacing decades-old manual workflows with an AI-native approach to building design grounded in physics, spatial intelligence and deterministic algorithms. Endra’s platform generates coordinated MEP designs, calculations and documentation in hours rather than months. By combining AI with physics-based, deterministic systems, it lets engineers compare multiple design and cost scenarios in minutes.

“Today, engineering firms are scaling linearly by adding headcount,” said Niklas Lindgren, CEO and co-founder of Endra. “Endra radically reduces engineering design time, allowing teams to explore more options and achieve an unprecedented growth. Ultimately, we empower engineering firms to scale their capabilities through technology, not headcount.”

“Niklas and team are laser-focused on building the platform engineers rely on to design the physical world,” said Joe Schmidt, Partner at Andreessen Horowitz. “MEP engineering is a massive services market that has been held back by decades-old software and manual work. As AI moves design from repetitive modeling to rules-based, more of that work is happening on Endra. We’re thrilled to lead their Series A as they scale across Europe and the U.S.”

The impact is already measurable. Endra has converted 100% of its pilots to date into paid enterprise deployments. Even in its lowest-performing use case, customers have seen efficiency gains of 12x. On one U.K. project, design work estimated at 10 weeks was completed in eight hours. Because engineering revenue is tied to billable hours, firms using Endra can deliver more per engineer and gain an advantage that compounds over time.

Founded in 2024, Endra works with leading global engineering firms including AtkinsRéalis, Ramboll, Buro Happold, Hoare Lea and AFRY.
